nordost-heimdall-2-cavo-digitale-75-ohm
Nordost Heimdall 2 Digital Cable 75 Ohm

Nordost Heimdall 2: 75 Ohm coaxial digital cable

Heimdall 2 Digital is an S/PDIF cable from the Norse 2 series, optimised for the transfer of digital data. In a digital link, accurate impedance matching matters in the cable as much as in the connectors: a poor match affects how accurately data passes from one device to the next.

The solid-core conductor, in OFC copper plated in silver, is suspended in the Dual Mono-Filament construction proprietary to Nordost. The BNC connectors, with RCA adapter, complete a signal path at a true 75 Ohm, with the tight tolerances that clock synchronisation requires. The outcome is a very fast, low-loss cable, suited to high-resolution digital sources.

Technical features

Impedance: 75 Ohm

Conductor: 1 of 20 AWG, solid core

Material: 99.99999% pure OFC copper, plated in silver

Insulation: FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene)

Construction: coaxial, Dual Mono-Filament, with mechanically tuned spacing and length

Capacitance: 15.0 pF/ft

Propagation velocity: 88%; 97% shielding

Termination: gold-plated 75 Ohm Neutrik BNC; RCA adapter, also gold-plated, supplied

Available versions

The cable is available in lengths of 1 m, 1.5 m and 2 m, with BNC connectors and RCA adapters supplied.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0615/5278/7645/files/nordost-heimdall-2-cavo-digitale-75-ohm-1.jpg?v=1791379721
