It uses four stranded 20 AWG conductors in silver-plated OFC copper, arranged as a precisely twisted double helix to guarantee characteristic impedance, lower noise and limit cross-talk.

The FEP Dual Mono-Filament from Nordost holds the conductors in suspension and is optimised for greater flexibility and mechanical damping. Shielding combines a double layer of silver foil with a silver braid. Lengths are mechanically tuned, a technique that lowers internal microphonics and impedance resonances at high frequencies.

Technical features

Conductors: four, 20 AWG each

Material: stranded OFC copper, 99.99999% pure, plated in silver

FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) insulation

Dual Mono-Filament construction in shielded twisted pairs, with mechanically tuned lay and length

Shielding with 100% total coverage: double layer of silver foil plus braid

Propagation velocity of 90%

USB 2.0 connectors of Type A or B

Available versions

The cable is available with A-B or A-A termination, in lengths of 1 m, 2 m, 3 m and 5 m.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0615/5278/7645/products/nordost-HEIMDALL-2-USB-2.0-CABLE-su-videosell-01.jpg?v=1669029550
