It adopts the Micro Mono-Filament construction, which surrounds every conductor with a dielectric made largely of air, and adds advanced mechanical tuning in support of its electrical performance.

The solid-core OFC conductors plated in silver are enclosed in a flat ribbon of extruded FEP, for fast, low-loss signal transfer from amplifier to speakers. According to the manufacturer the cable combines natural dynamics, weight and a sense of scale, with no artificial emphasis.

Technical features

Conductors: 26 solid-core wires of 22 AWG

Material: OFC copper, 99.99999% pure, plated in silver

Insulation: FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene)

Micro Mono-Filament construction with mechanically tuned spacing and length

Capacitance: 10.7 pF per foot

Inductance: 0.13 μH per foot

Speed of propagation: 96% of the speed of light

Gold-plated connectors: Z-plug banana or spade

Available versions

Tyr 2 is sold as a pair, in a mono wiring configuration, in lengths of 2 m, 2.5 m, 3 m and 4 m, with banana or spade termination.
