The filters are third-order, crossing at 450 Hz and 2.4 kHz, so the midrange alone covers more than two octaves in the middle of the band with no break partway through.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe midrange is driven by a neodymium motor of the Inverse Differential Drive type and has a 38 mm high-temperature voice coil; as on the tweeter, a perforated PPA lens in front of the diaphragm takes care of phase alignment. The woofers use overmoulded ART surrounds and 38 mm tandem voice coils. Midrange and woofers are fixed to the cabinet through the Shock-Mount system, which isolates them from the structure, while the tweeter is damped and cooled with ferrofluid.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn-axis response lies within ±2 dB between 48 Hz and 45 kHz, and bass extension reaches 24 Hz. With 92 dB in-room sensitivity (89 dB anechoic) and a load that suits 8 ohm amplifiers, the 3F works with 15 to 400 W and accepts a maximum of 200 W. Each speaker stands 112.6 cm tall, 24.1 cm wide and 42.7 cm deep, and weighs 34 kg.
