The new top of the range NAD turntable: a refined but easy to use tool at the same time. For the first systems that start off on the right foot or for those who are just now appreciating the timeless charm of vinyl.
The C 588 solves the Wow and Flutter problem thanks to the use of a synchronous motor with smooth and controlled operation, powered in AC. The use of a special drive belt further reduces the possibility of triggering vibrations towards the turntable frame.
All moving parts of the C 588 are made of low tolerance numerically controlled aluminum so as to eliminate even the slightest eccentricity and with it possible vibrations.
The C 588 features a specially made carbon fiber tonearm, integrated metal headshell, decoupled counterweight and magnetic-type anti-skate compensation system.
The 9-inch arm length optimizes overhang and reduces tracking error. Ortofon 2M Red cartridge installed and factory adjusted. The built-in adjustment tools in the turntable can easily be used to make subsequent adjustments to azimuth and VTA - a rare solution in this price range.
To prevent vibrations and resonances from returning to the turntable, the entire structure and all the elements used in it have been specifically designed and manufactured.
The solution adopted in the C 588 brings together the very thick MDF base, the damping feet in aluminum and the non-resonant type protection hood.
To these are added the glass plate (10 mm thick) and the felt mat. Even the carbon arm itself is an active element in reducing vibrations and resonances.
On the rear panel of the C 588 the pair of RCAs with separate ground, in order to use the connection cable of your choice. Input for power supply from 15V transformer.
