The essential integrated amplifier for analogue, digital and Bluetooth
The PMA-600NE is the first step in Denon's stereo family: 45W per channel into 8 ohms, analogue and digital inputs, Bluetooth and an MM phono stage.
It is designed for a simple but complete two-channel system, connecting a CD player, television, turntable and mobile devices without an external converter. Compared with the PMA-900HNE it omits HEOS, networking and MC phono, but retains a 192kHz/24-bit DAC and a direct signal path. Its 45W output suits normally sensitive speakers in small or medium rooms.
Key features
- 45W per channel into 8 ohms and 70W into 4 ohms
- Advanced High Current single push-pull circuit
- Two optical inputs and one coaxial input
- Bluetooth playback from mobile devices
- MM phono input and dedicated subwoofer output
Role in the system
An optical input can accept television sound, while coaxial suits a dedicated digital source. Analogue Mode switches off Bluetooth and digital circuitry for analogue listening, reducing potential interference. Tone controls and Source Direct provide a choice between practical adjustment and the shortest signal path.
It is the right model when built-in streaming is unnecessary and separate sources are preferred. Moving to the PMA-900HNE mainly adds networking, HEOS and MM/MC compatibility; the PMA-1700NE changes class through power, USB-DAC capability and construction.
The subwoofer output can extend bass beyond the main speakers. A/B terminals select either speaker pair or both, subject to the combined impedance. This is a practical foundation for a first separates system without network functions to configure.
