A 1,800-watt monoblock for the most demanding loads
Michi M8 is a Class AB monoblock power amplifier rated at 1,080 W into 8 ohms and 1,800 W into 4 ohms, with dual toroidal transformers, slit-foil capacitors and 32 output devices.
Each M8 concentrates its entire power supply on a single loudspeaker, eliminating shared resources between channels. The pair of toroidal transformers and high-current output stage sustain exceptional power, while XLR, RCA, dual rhodium-plated terminals and network control simplify use in large-scale stereo systems.

1,080 watts into 8 ohms
M8 delivers a continuous 1,080 W into 8 ohms and 1,800 W into 4 ohms, concentrating the full capacity of its power supply on one loudspeaker. Declared THD remains below 0.018% even with power reserve on this scale.
Monoblock architecture
One M8 drives a single channel, so a stereo system uses one power amplifier per side. Each loudspeaker therefore has dedicated transformers, output stage and power supply, with no current shared with the opposite channel.
Dual toroidal transformers
The power supply uses two custom-designed toroidal transformers manufactured in-house. This arrangement increases reserve and reduces stress on each unit when the amplifier operates close to its maximum ratings into 4 ohms.
Slit-foil capacitors
Four British-made capacitors use slit-foil technology and low ESR. Their energy reserve feeds the output stage rapidly during transients and limits internal losses during high-current peaks.
Thirty-two devices
The output stage uses 32 high-current devices to distribute the load and maintain operating headroom. This generous provision contributes to stability when the loudspeaker presents particularly demanding impedance and phase conditions.
Class AB and bandwidth
The declared response runs from 20 Hz to 20 kHz within +0/-0.15 dB and reaches 100 kHz. A signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and damping factor of 200 complete the profile of the Class AB section.
RCA and XLR inputs
Balanced XLR and RCA inputs are available, with sensitivities of 3 V and 1.85 V respectively. The power amplifier can therefore work with different preamplifiers while maintaining, where available, a fully balanced chain.
Terminals and automation
The dual loudspeaker terminals are rhodium-plated and sized for high currents. RS232 and Ethernet connections simplify integration with automation systems and installations where the power amplifier is not easily accessible.
Display and construction
The high-resolution display can show peak power or operate as a spectrum analyser. M8 measures 485 x 238 x 465 mm and weighs 59.1 kg, figures consistent with the scale of its internal power supply.
