Primare I25 DAC: 100 W per channel stereo integrated amplifier with D/A converter
I25 DAC pairs the modular platform of the I25 integrated amplifier with the DM36 conversion module, already installed. Compared with I25, which has analogue inputs only, it therefore adds a complete digital section with optical, coaxial and USB-B inputs. Compared with I25 Prisma it lacks the network side: the SM35 Prisma module is not fitted, though it can be added later.
Amplification is Primare's UFPD 2, a fully analogue Class D design that Primare states to be linear across the entire audible band. The DM36 module is a conversion stage based on the ESS ES9068A chip: it handles PCM signals up to 384 kHz / 32 bit and DSD up to DSD 256, offers upsampling options and processes MQA files.

Connections
On the analogue side there are five RCA inputs and two stereo RCA outputs, one line-level and one preamplifier. The DM36 module brings four optical Toslink inputs, two coaxial inputs, one USB-B input and a coaxial digital output. For control there are IR in and out on 3.5 mm jacks, a 12 V trigger output on a 3.5 mm jack and an RS232 port for external control systems; the remote is the C25.
