Primare I35: modular stereo integrated amplifier, 150 W per channel, with balanced inputs
I35 is the full-width stereo integrated amplifier of the 35 series: it delivers 150 W per channel and, next to its RCA inputs, offers two balanced XLR inputs. In this version it works with analogue sources only. Its sisters I35 DAC and I35 Prisma already carry, respectively, the DM36 conversion module and the combination of DM36 plus SM35 Prisma network player; on I35 the same modules can be installed at a later stage, thanks to the modular build.
The power stage employs UFPD 2, short for Ultra Fast Power Device, Primare's analogue Class D derived from a revision of the UFPD circuit, which the manufacturer states to be linear over the whole audible band. The circuit also has a wide bandwidth, very low noise and a power supply section kept separate from the audio circuits. The graphic OLED display shows source, volume and information, and standby consumption is 0.5 W.

Connections
There are five inputs in total, two on XLR and three on RCA; the audio outputs are two RCA pairs. For use in a controlled system I35 provides IR in and out on 3.5 mm jacks, a 12 V trigger output on a 3.5 mm jack and an RS232 port for external control systems.
