The adaptor cable family connecting New Classic with earlier Naim generations
Naim Interconnect New Classic groups seven dedicated links between the new range's XLR connections and DIN, RCA or XLR interfaces on Classic and legacy electronics.
The single Naim Interconnect New Classic is chosen according to signal direction; some versions are sold as a pair because left and right channels require separate leads. The family includes legacy-preamplifier to New-Classic power-amplifier links and the reverse route from New Classic preamplification to earlier power amplifiers.
Key features
- Seven specific configurations in the distributor list
- 4-pin-DIN-to-XLR links for joining different generations
- RCA-XLR versions for preamplifiers using phono outputs
- XLR connections to legacy power amplifiers with dedicated DIN or XLR inputs
- Y-lead arrangements where two channels share a connector at the earlier product
- Selected configurations supplied as a pair
Signal direction forms part of the product specification
A lead from a Classic preamplifier to a New Classic power amplifier is not the same as one working in the opposite direction. Pin assignment, conductor count and, on selected versions, the need for a pair all change. The menu should therefore be read from source component to receiving component.
