Nordost Purple Flare 3 Speaker Cable

Nordost Purple Flare 3: flat speaker cable with 16 conductors

Purple Flare 3 is the second step in the Nordost Leif series. It keeps the flat construction that sets the brand's loudspeaker cables apart: a solution designed to reconcile low resistance, low capacitance and low inductance, demands that restrict one another in conventional configurations.

Inside there are 16 solid-core OFC conductors plated in silver, of 24 AWG, insulated in FEP through an extrusion process that raises their dielectric properties. The larger overall cross-section, the manufacturer explains, brings more weight and a wider dynamic range to the link between amplifier and speakers.
