Nordost Tyr 2 Interconnect Cable

Nordost Tyr 2: analog interconnect cable

Tyr 2 is the most advanced analog interconnect in the Norse 2 series: within the family it is the cable with the quietest background, the highest resolution and the widest dynamic range. It adopts Dual Mono-Filament construction, a Nordost proprietary design that made its debut on the Valhalla reference cables, which suspends the conductor and surrounds it with a dielectric made almost entirely of air.

There are seven 24 AWG conductors, solid core in OFC copper plated in silver, with FEP insulation. The structure, controlled both electrically and mechanically, is intended for very fast signal transfer with low losses. Design and materials are shared by the whole Norse 2 series.
