The Q Acoustics 3060S is an active subwoofer in a slim cabinet: a 200 mm woofer in a sealed enclosure and a 150 W Class D amplifier, for floor or wall placement in a stereo or home cinema system.
3060S: 200 mm woofer in a cabinet 15 cm deep
The 3060S is made for anyone who wants to add the lowest octaves to a system without a bulky cube in the living room. The cabinet is just 15 cm deep, 30 high and 48 wide, and holds a 200 mm woofer loaded in a sealed box with an internal volume of 10.6 litres. It is driven by a built-in 150 W Class D amplifier. Stated response runs from 35 to 250 Hz and the crossover filter is continuously adjustable across the same span, to blend the subwoofer with the main speakers.
The flat shape permits two kinds of installation. On the floor the subwoofer stands on rubber feet or on the spikes supplied, which keep it steady even on carpet; with the dedicated bracket, an optional extra, it can instead be hung on the wall. Apart from the main controls, adjustments and sockets are gathered behind a magnetic cover, with a downward-facing opening for the cables to exit: once installed, nothing is left on show.
Including feet and protrusions the overall size is 32.4 x 48 x 15.5 cm, with a weight of 8.5 kg. The box contains four spikes and the mains lead. The subwoofer is available in satin black and satin white and is sold singly.
