Fifteen channels and layouts up to 9.4.6 in one chassis
Denon's flagship integrates fifteen power stages, four independent subwoofers and a complete dedicated-room AV platform.
The AVC-A1H is Denon's home-theatre flagship: fifteen amplified channels rated at 150W enable layouts up to 9.4.6 without extra power amplifiers. Its large transformer, enlarged capacitors and high-rigidity chassis are designed to sustain a complex room with greater stability. Compared with the A10H it adds two internal channels and reaches the family's largest processed and amplified layout.
Key features
- Fifteen amplified channels rated at 150W per channel into 8 ohms
- Immersive layouts up to 9.4.6
- Four independent subwoofer outputs and multichannel pre-outs
- Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, IMAX Enhanced, Auro-3D and MPEG-H
- Seven 8K HDMI inputs and three video outputs
- Audyssey MultEQ XT32 and a Dirac Live upgrade path
One central component for a room without channel compromises
Fifteen power stages allow a very wide bed layer and six overhead speakers while retaining four separate subwoofer channels. Pre-outs still permit a gradual move towards external amplification. The A1H can therefore begin as an integrated solution and later become the central processor of an even more elaborate system.
The video platform accepts seven 8K sources and provides three outputs for displays and zones, while also supporting 4K/120, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, VRR and ALLM. HEOS integrates high-resolution streaming and multi-room audio. Calibration options include Audyssey MultEQ XT32 and, through compatible licences, Dirac Live and dedicated bass-control tools.
A 9.4.6 configuration uses the complete internal complement: nine speakers around the listening plane, six overhead channels and four separately managed subwoofers. Such a layout requires careful planning of angles, distances and electrical supply. In smaller projects, unused channels may be reassigned or retained as headroom for later development. This makes the flagship equally credible as a complete integrated solution or the centre of a phased reference installation over many years.
At 32kg and with the largest transformer Denon has used in this category, the A1H is not simply a receiver with more terminals. Power supply, thermal management and mechanical structure are sized for fifteen operating channels in one chassis. It is intended for projects where the speaker count is defined from the outset and the number of separate electronics should be reduced.
