More power and Japanese construction in a 9.4 format
Nine 125W channels, 11.4 processing and seven 8K inputs for larger home cinema rooms.
The AVC-X4800H retains nine amplified channels but raises output to 125W per channel and adopts construction in Japan. Compared with the X3800H and X3900H, it offers greater dynamic reserve, seven all-8K HDMI inputs and DTS:X Pro decoding. Its 11.4 processing supports 5.4.4 or 7.4.2 directly and reaches 7.4.4 by adding a stereo power amplifier.

For a larger room without sacrificing modularity
The extra power is useful with demanding loudspeakers or longer listening distances, yet flexibility remains the central advantage. Pre-outs allow selected channels to be assigned to external amplifiers, and four subwoofers can be adjusted separately. Audyssey is included, while compatible Dirac Live and Dirac Live Bass Control licences are optional.
Seven HDMI inputs reduce the need for external switchers in source-rich systems, and three outputs can serve a TV, projector and second zone. The X4800H therefore combines a more authoritative power section with 11.4 expansion. Moving to eleven built-in power stages and processing up to 13.4 requires the X6800H.
DTS:X Pro decoding supports more extensive layouts than the standard version, while internal processing keeps channels separate before amplification. Japanese manufacture and the increase in weight over the 105W tier indicate a design concerned not only with features but also with stability when several speakers demand energy in the same passage.
