Two hundred and thirty watts with CRPS for a separate system
M6s Prx is a 2x230 W dual-mono stereo power amplifier with RCA/XLR inputs, loop outputs and choke-regulated power.
M6s Prx is for owners of a preamplifier who want 230 W per channel reserved for their loudspeakers. It selects no sources and controls no volume; those jobs belong to M6s Pre, a variable DAC or an AV processor. The balanced dual-mono circuit separates channels, while the Choke Regulated Power Supply filters mains noise through inductors, distinguishing Prx from power amplifiers built around a transformer alone.
Key features
- 2x230 W into 8 ohms
- Balanced circuit and dual-mono construction
- Choke Regulated Power Supply
- Selectable RCA and XLR inputs
- RCA and XLR loop outputs
- Twin terminals for bi-wiring, black or silver finish
CRPS: filtering before amplification
An inductor resists alternating noise while passing the direct current required by the circuit. The bifilar CRPS reduces mains-borne components before they reach the power stage. It does not replace sound electrical installation, but builds filtering into the design and aims to preserve a quiet background and fine detail while the amplifier delivers high current.
The natural partner for M6s Pre
The pair connects through XLR and maintains a balanced route from a compatible source to the loudspeakers. M6s Pre provides volume, phono and inputs; Prx concentrates on the load. Other preamplifiers can be used when level and impedance are suitable. RCA/XLR loops distribute the signal to another amplifier for bi-amping or more complex arrangements.
When to prefer it over M6xi
M6xi offers similar power in one chassis and adds DAC, HDMI and phono. M6s Prx makes sense when the system already owns a strong preamplifier, needs balanced cabling or must change control and power independently. Physical separation keeps delicate sources away from the large output stage, while requiring more space and greater total cost.
