Eleven channels in one chassis for a complete 7.1.4 Atmos system
M6x 250.11 combines three 250 W and eight 150 W channels to power a complete 7.1.4 room.
M6x 250.11 is the whole-cinema amplifier of the range. Three 250 W channels serve the L/C/R front stage, where distance and dynamic demand are greatest; eight 150 W channels power side surrounds, rears and four height speakers. With an eleven-output processor it creates a 7.1.4 system without additional power amplifiers. The active subwoofer remains independent. Different power allocation follows real speaker duties rather than creating two quality tiers.
Key features
- 3x250 W into 4 ohms for the main channels
- 8x150 W into 4 ohms for surrounds and heights
- Eleven inputs RCA e undici XLR
- Modular Class A/B amplification
- Twin toroidal transformers, nessuna ventola
- 12 V trigger, black or silver finish
A 7.1.4 layout with readable wiring logic
The three larger modules feed left, centre and right; the remaining eight cover sides, rears and ceiling. This map simplifies installation and calibration because one chassis and trigger follow the whole layout. For traditional 5.1 or 7.1 it would be oversized; 250.5 or 250.7 uses the budget more effectively.
Why 150 W is sufficient for effect channels
Atmos and surround speakers are often closer and receive less continuous or bandwidth-limited content compared with the fronts. One hundred and fifty watts provides margin without repeating the largest stage eleven times. Processor calibration equalises levels and delays while the stronger front stage retains impact for dialogue, music and primary effects.
An alternative to stacked power amplifiers
Three or four separate amplifiers offer complete freedom but consume rack space, sockets and cabling. M6x 250.11 concentrates the function, reduces mains connections and simplifies coordinated power. RCA and XLR on every channel suit the processor; fanless operation avoids mechanical noise, while the chassis needs space to dissipate heat from eleven modules.
