SPL Phonitor SE

Headphone amplifier with VOLTAiR technology, a 6.3 mm jack output with 2 × 5 W and the Matrix effect.

Phonitor SE: the design

The Phonitor SE is SPL's entry-level headphone amplifier: one analogue RCA input, the motorised Alps pot and the Matrix effect, which recreates loudspeaker listening on headphones. Volume and source can be controlled with any remote, once learned.

Like the other SPL components it uses VOLTAiR technology: the audio circuits run on ±60 V rails, with discrete op-amps of SPL's own design and a shielded toroidal transformer.
