The active bass system in the Radia range: 750-watt Class D power for music and cinema
Arcam R25B is the active subwoofer in the Radia range, with 250 mm driver, 750 W RMS Class D amplifier, rear bass reflex, LFE input and 12V trigger.
R25B is the only active loudspeaker in the Radia family and adds deep bass to 2.1 stereo or home cinema systems. It is sold individually: one unit can complete a compact system, while more advanced installations can use multiple subwoofers.

An active subwoofer, not a passive loudspeaker
R25B contains a 750 W RMS Class D amplifier with 1,500 W peak output, so no external power amplifier is required. The 250 mm woofer uses a coated fibre-composite cone with inverted surround and cast aluminium frame for excursion and low-frequency control.
Adjustable crossover, level and phase
The low-pass filter is variable from 50 to 150 Hz with a 24 dB-per-octave slope; level and phase controls match the subwoofer to the speakers and room position. R25B can therefore work in a 2.1 system or as the LFE channel in a multichannel installation.
LFE input and trigger
The RCA connection accepts LFE or line-level signals and the 3.5 mm 12V trigger coordinates power operation with compatible electronics. Auto Power can also manage the operating state when a dedicated trigger is not used.
Cabinet, dimensions and role in the range
The Black Natural Walnut cabinet uses a rear bass-reflex port and magnetic grille matching the Radia range. Arcam specifies 430 x 377 x 437 mm in W x H x D order and a 27.8 kg net weight for one unit.
