Three ways and four 130 mm drivers in the more compact Radia floorstander
Arcam R35 is a 3-way floorstanding speaker with three 130 mm MCC woofers, 130 mm DCC midrange and 25 mm DCC tweeter in an Acoustic Lens waveguide.
R35 is the more compact floorstanding model in the Radia Series and is intended for small to medium rooms where the scale of a 3-way system is wanted without moving to the larger R45 cabinet. It is sold individually: two units are required for a stereo pair, with each loudspeaker weighing 29.1 kg net.

A proportioned 3-way design for medium rooms
Three 130 mm woofers handle low frequencies while a fourth 130 mm driver works exclusively as the midrange. This architecture separates the central frequencies from the bass drivers and gives R35 greater scale than the stand-mount models while retaining a smaller footprint than R45.
MCC for bass, DCC for midrange
The three woofers use Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC), a stiff and damped material selected for low-frequency duties. The midrange moves to Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC), dedicated to the central band; both use inverted surrounds and cast frames engineered for rigidity and airflow.
DCC tweeter and Acoustic Lens
The 25 mm dome uses DCC and sits in an acoustic lens with waveguide. The lens is not an accessory: it forms part of the radiation system and controls dispersion and phase alignment so imaging remains stable even from listening positions away from the exact centre.
Crossover and bass reflex
The 3-way crossover operates at 350 Hz and 2.1 kHz to divide the signal between woofers, midrange and tweeter. Dual rear bass-reflex ports extend response to 36 Hz, so placement should leave suitable space behind the cabinet to avoid excessive low-frequency reinforcement.
Cabinet and construction
The Black Natural Walnut cabinet is internally cross-braced and uses concealed driver fixings to keep the front panel visually clean. The grille attaches magnetically and solid aluminium feet can be used with optional spikes, combining mechanical stability with floor isolation.
Dimensions and position in the range
Arcam specifies 302 x 1,038 x 353 mm, a 29.1 kg net weight and sale as a single unit. R35 is positioned as a natural partner for SA35 and AVA35, balancing extension, dynamics and size, while R45 increases driver diameter and cabinet volume for larger rooms.
