Open soundstage and total control
The open-back design allows the LCD-MX4 to offer a wide, three-dimensional and realistic soundstage, comparable to that of a high-level studio monitor system, but without the need for dedicated acoustic treatment. Instrument separation is impeccable and the stereo image stable and coherent, making these headphones a reliable working tool even for critical evaluations of mixes and masters.
Reference planar magnetic engineering
The heart of the LCD-MX4 is the 106 mm planar magnetic driver with a double Fluxor™ magnet array, capable of generating a flux density of up to 1.5 Tesla, the highest value ever achieved in headphones. The ultra-thin Uniforce™ diaphragm, paired with Fazor™ phase management, guarantees extremely linear reproduction, free from colouration and with virtually no distortion even at high volumes. The extended frequency response from 10 Hz to 50 kHz ensures a complete analysis of any audio content.
High sensitivity and maximum versatility
With a sensitivity of 105 dB/1mW, the LCD-MX4 are surprisingly easy to drive. They can be used effectively even with portable audio interfaces, laptops or mobile devices, while expressing their full potential when paired with higher-quality DACs and amplifiers.
