The 606 S3 is the larger standmount option in the 600 S3 range.
The pair of Bowers & Wilkins 606 S3 speakers uses a 165 mm Continuum driver for bass and midrange and a 25 mm Titanium Dome tweeter for treble. Its 344 mm-high cabinet suits a stereo system with speakers raised off the floor, while retaining a larger cone than the 607 S3. A home cinema can use the pair as front or surround channels according to the room layout.

A two-driver arrangement
The Continuum cone covers the central musical range and reaches down into bass; the titanium-dome tweeter is decoupled from the baffle. Flowport completes the vented cabinet. Unlike the 603 S3, there is no separate FST midrange and no additional pair of woofers. The smaller enclosure and simpler two-way layout are the trade-offs to consider.
Placement and matching
Cabinet depth of 300 mm becomes 328 mm including grille and terminals. Allow working room behind it for cables and the vent, and put each speaker on a stable surface at a suitable listening height. Dedicated stands are sold separately. Its 88 dB sensitivity and 3.7-ohm impedance minimum matter alongside the 30-120 W recommended amplifier range.
When cabinet depth is the main limit, the 607 S3 measures 207 mm before grille and terminals, against the 606 S3's 300 mm; it also has a smaller 130 mm cone. The 606 S3 is 189 mm wide and weighs 7.05 kg per speaker. Pairing it with an HTM6 S3 can keep the front stage within the same series while assigning dialogue to a purpose-built centre channel.
