14x14 audio matrix bringing together Dante, analogue and USB channels
The DA1414 is a 14x14 audio matrix that can run on PoE+ and that routes and processes Dante, analogue and USB sources towards several listening zones, in commercial projects and homes alike.
Every channel is treated as a separate mono signal: it can be routed, set for level and balance and shaped with a parametric EQ of up to 8 bands, complete with shelving and high/low cut filters, at input and output alike. The analogue inputs accept line or microphone level, with switchable 48 V phantom power, while USB audio enters through a USB-C or a USB-B socket of your choice. An API lets third-party control systems switch Dante channels with no need for Dante Controller or Domain Manager.
Key features
- Inputs: 8 Dante/AES67 channels, 4 balanced or unbalanced analogue, 2 USB channels
- Outputs: 8 Dante/AES67 channels, 4 analogue, 2 USB channels
- Sampling at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz with 24-bit depth
- Dante latency selectable in five steps, from 2 to 10 ms, via Dante Controller
- Two Gigabit Dante ports for a redundant network, AES67 RTP transport
- PoE+ power (Class 4, IEEE 802.3at) from the primary port, or mains power
- Commands via RS-232, TCP/IP, a web interface and front buttons
Connections
The rear panel carries two RJ45 sockets for the primary and secondary Dante networks, also used for TCP/IP control, 12-pole Phoenix terminals for the four analogue channels, the USB-B and USB-C sockets and a 3-pole Phoenix for the RS-232 link. The power supply is internal (110-250 V AC). The chassis takes one rack unit and measures 220 x 213.2 x 44.4 mm.
Box contents
The box holds the matrix, nine 3-pole Phoenix terminals with 3.5 mm pitch, the 19" rack mounting kit, four feet, the quick reference card and the IEC mains lead.
