Multi-format HDBaseT extension set with HDMI, USB-C and DisplayPort
The Blustream HEX70HDUK-KIT is an HDBaseT transmitter and receiver set that accepts HDMI, USB-C and DisplayPort sources and carries them over one network cable up to 40 m in 4K or 70 m at 1080p.
It is designed for meeting rooms and classrooms, where laptops with differing outputs turn up at the table. The HEX70HDUK-TX transmitter gathers the three sources and sends 18Gbps 4K 60Hz in 4:4:4 video with HDR and HDCP 2.2, thanks to CSC technology. Beyond video the link carries USB 2.0, so a webcam or peripheral plugged in near the screen reaches the computer, along with IR commands both ways. The HEX70HDUK-RX receiver also has a local HDMI input for one more source beside the display. The set switches the screen on and off by itself, extracts audio and is configured from a web page; it can also be run from the front panel, IR remote, RS-232 serial or TCP/IP network. Power travels over the cable (PoC) from one unit to the other.
