Network amplifier with Dante input and a constant-voltage option
The NPA70DA is a networked zone amplifier that receives audio over Dante and drives either low-impedance speakers or 70/100 V lines.
The digital stage delivers 2 x 35 W, or 70 W bridged to mono, into 4 or 8 ohm loads; alternatively it runs in constant-voltage mode, a practical choice when there are many speakers and long cable runs. It can draw power from the switch via PoE++ or, when the switch cannot provide it, from the supplied adapter; on PoE+ the available power is reduced. The Dante and LAN ports can stay separate or share one network. The DSP includes a 31-band equaliser and an audio delay to keep sound aligned with the picture. It suits commercial and residential systems.
Key features
- Power: 2 x 35 W or 1 x 70 W into 4/8 ohm, or a 70/100 V output
- Two-channel Dante/AES67 input
- 31-band equaliser (from +3 to -10 dB) and audio delay
- PoE++ power on the Dante port or a local power supply
- 12 V trigger input for automatic switch-on
- Automatic standby when no signal is present
- Commands from the front panel, IR, RS-232, IP and a web interface
Connections
Two RJ45 sockets (Dante and control network), a 4-pole Phoenix terminal for 4/8 ohm speakers and a 3-pole one for the 70/100 V line, 3-pole Phoenix terminals for RS-232 and the IR receiver, and a 2-pole Phoenix for the trigger. The external supply is rated 24 V, 3.5 A with a 4-pin DIN plug. The housing measures 202 x 175 x 31 mm.
