300 W active subwoofer for larger rooms
The Cambridge Audio MSX Sub 300 is the most powerful active subwoofer in the MSX series, designed for larger rooms and more ambitious systems: it adds deeper, more authoritative bass, weight and scale, without overwhelming the space. It partners MSX speakers, for example the MSX20, and its look matches the rest of the Cambridge Audio range.
The dedicated 300 W amplifier provides greater output and dynamic headroom, so low frequencies stay composed even at high volume, with music as well as films and TV series.
8-inch driver, passive radiator and DSP
An 8-inch active driver works with an 8-inch passive radiator to move more air efficiently: more depth and more output from a compact enclosure, without losing precision. Frequency response runs from 31 Hz (-6 dB) to 200 Hz.
The built-in digital signal processor (DSP) manages response and output in real time, keeping bass stable, controlled and articulate even in the most demanding passages.
Controls and connections
The active crossover is adjustable from 50 to 200 Hz and phase is variable from 0 to 180°, for precise integration of the subwoofer with the speakers and the room. It switches on automatically when a signal arrives.
The input is a low-level RCA pair, alongside an RCA pass-through output pair. The small footprint allows placement in a corner, beside furniture or in a dedicated media room.
Finishes, dimensions and accessories
MSX Sub 300 is available in matte black and matte white, with a finish that matches the L/R active speakers. It measures 266 x 315 x 278 mm (width, height, depth) and weighs 7.5 kg.
The box contains the subwoofer, the power cable, the safety guide, the quick start guide and the registration card.
