Ethernet network cable with solid 1.25% silver conductors and shielded connectors
Cinnamon RJ/E is an AudioQuest Ethernet cable aimed at listeners who stream music and want a steady wired connection for the whole system. The solid conductors with 1.25% silver are designed to deliver music files with clarity and without coloration; the same construction serves films, online gaming and the transfer of large files equally well.
Conductors and insulation
The conductors are solid-core and high-purity, with 1.25% silver plating. A single wire removes the distortion produced by interaction between strands. Silver-plated conductors perform very well at the extremely high frequencies typical of audio over Ethernet and make it possible to build a high-grade cable with a modest amount of precious metal.
The insulation is solid high-density polyethylene, selected to stabilise the internal geometry: a constant layout of the conductors limits distortion and preserves dynamics.
Connectors and shielding
The gold-plated nickel connectors offer 100% shield coverage, which lowers distortion again and supports noise dissipation. Installation needs no configuration: simply insert the two plugs.
Uses
Cinnamon RJ/E strengthens the links to routers, home-automation hubs, security systems and smart speakers, cutting signal dropouts and interruptions. In online gaming it provides low latency and less packet loss; in the office it copes with VoIP telephony, video conferencing and cloud-based workflows without the inconsistency of Wi-Fi.
