Choice of power supply systems: PoE or 24V DC. Flexible use and installation.
The Surface Mount system's electronic circuitry offers several power options: via a PoE switch or a 24V DC power supply. In these cases, you'll need a PoE splitter that receives power from the PoE switcher or 24V power supply and manages the interface with the iPad via a standard USB-Lightning connection. Furthermore, for cases where power from a wall outlet is required, simply use the Power Injector, available as an optional accessory, to provide the PoE switcher with the necessary power.

The Surface Mount system was designed and engineered to be the simplest iPad wall mounting solution ever. It can be used in any junction box, whether European or British/American, single or double. Simply place the iPad on top of the box, oriented in any direction.
Installation in a flash
Installing the iPad in the frame with the Surface Mount system is quick and easy. It literally "clicks." Simply place the iPad inside the frame and click the latches into place. That's it! Once positioned, you can still control the iPad's power button by pressing the button on the side of the frame, and you can also continue to use both the speaker and microphone.
The Surface Mount system offers great flexibility in wall mounting. The bracket to which the frame attaches can be positioned in any orientation, simply so that it covers the junction box, which also offers a wide range of shapes and sizes. This is very useful if you need to align the iPad with other objects on the wall or if you need to cover a hole in the wall from a previous installation. The special screws used are half screws for attaching the bracket and half anchors for attaching the frame. This minimizes the work of attaching the bracket to the wall. Everything has been designed to make the system installation process simple and easy.
PoE Splitter: A Small Accessory with a Variety of Applications
The iPort PoE Splitter is a small device that fits into any junction box. Simply connect a CAT-5 or CAT-6 cable to the splitter to receive power from a PoE (803.2af) source, such as a PoE network switch. Alternatively, simply connect the wires of a 24V DC power supply to the dedicated two-pin terminal block, then connect the iPad's Lightning cable to the splitter's USB port to provide the iPad with the 12W of power needed for charging.
iPad magnetically wall mounted
Once you've positioned the iPad in the frame and connected it to the splitter, the last thing to do is attach the frame/iPad combo to the wall bracket. This is done in the simplest way possible, by simply magnetizing the two components together. Simply place the frame over the bracket and everything will fit together perfectly and securely. For installations in crowded spaces (offices, restaurants), you can also use the special safety locks to ensure the assembly remains stable.
