Open-back planar magnetic headphone, light and foldable, with a present midrange and a wide soundstage.

Aeon 2 Open: the design

In the Aeon 2 the driver structure is rotated by 180 degrees, to remove the air flows the diaphragm generates at the rear, which the magnets would channel towards the ear. Internal parts are machined rather than injection-moulded; the NiTinol headband folds on a gimbal system.

Dan Clark Audio is a Californian maker of planar magnetic and electrostatic headphones.
