32-bit/384 kHz D/A converter with a class A valve preamplifier and headphone amplifier.

DAC215: the design

The DAC215 uses the Sabre ES9018 in a quad mono configuration, with a discrete class A filter stage and output buffer. It plays native DSD64 and DSD128. With volume control and input selection it also works as a preamplifier: there are two RCA outputs, one fixed and one variable.

Copland is a Danish maker of hi-fi electronics, both valve and solid state, recognisable by the aluminium front panel with its large knobs.
