David Gilmour live at Rome's Circus Maximus, with Dolby Atmos sound.
The film of the Luck and Strange tour, directed by Gavin Elder, with sound by Charlie Andrew and Gilmour himself in Dolby Atmos, 5.1 and 24-bit / 96 kHz stereo.
The story of the album
In autumn 2024 the Circus Maximus hosted six nights with David Gilmour: the world premiere of the tour for Luck and Strange, his fifth solo studio album, and his only dates in continental Europe. The film was shot over three of those nights and runs 142 minutes.
The setlist puts songs from the new album next to Pink Floyd classics, from "Breathe" and "Time" to "Wish You Were Here", "High Hopes" and "Comfortably Numb". On stage: Guy Pratt on bass, Greg Phillinganes and Rob Gentry on keyboards, Ben Worsley on guitar, Adam Betts on drums, and on backing vocals Louise Marshall, Hattie and Charley Webb and Romany Gilmour, who also sings "Between Two Points".
Director Gavin Elder has worked with Gilmour since 2006 and had already made the film of the Gdańsk concert. The film played in cinemas, IMAX included, in September 2025, ahead of its Blu-ray release a month later.
