Denon's reference turntable with Direct Drive motor
Denon DP-3000NE is a premium direct-drive turntable with 16-pole motor, die-cast aluminium platter, adjustable S-shaped arm and dark-ebony base.
Design and intended use
The controlled-commutation motor removes the belt and reduces torque fluctuation, while the 18.5kg structure and platter stabilise playback. The S-shaped arm offers height adjustment and a universal headshell, allowing different cartridges to be fitted with correct geometry. This is a manual design: the listener cues and lifts the arm.

Selection and setup
It includes neither cartridge nor phono stage; both must be selected for the system and intended level. Vertical arm adjustment helps maintain the correct angle with cartridges of different heights, while dual counterweights broaden compatible masses. It is intended for a substantial collection and listeners investing in setup rather than automation.
Placement should be stable, level and away from loudspeakers to limit acoustic feedback. Speed, record cleanliness and stylus condition should be checked before listening; adjustable models also require tracking force and anti-skating setup. Correct connection depends on the presence of a phono stage and must not be confused with an ordinary line input.
