Three ways in-wall with an integral back box
CWM7.3 S2 uses twin Aerofoil woofers within its own defined enclosure.
The Bowers & Wilkins CWM7.3 S2 pair needs two 711 × 251 mm openings. Each frame is 736 × 276 mm and the assembly takes 102 mm behind the surface, projecting 7 mm into the room. With the pre-mount kit the cut-out becomes 715 × 256 mm; select the correct dimensions before working on the panel.

The enclosure is part of the speaker
The built-in back box helps reduce sound transfer through the wall and defines loading for the drivers. Two 150 mm Aerofoil Profile woofers work with a 100 mm Continuum FST midrange and 25 mm Carbon Dome tweeter. A glass-reinforced ABS baffle completes the three-way arrangement. CWM7.4 S2 is a narrower 2.5-way design with four 100 mm units instead.
Load and planning dimensions
Nominal impedance is 8 ohms with a 3.1-ohm minimum, an important figure for amplifier selection. Recommended power is 25 to 200 W into 8 ohms, sensitivity 90 dB and response 45 Hz to 28 kHz within ±3 dB. The reservoir box measures 460 × 220 mm and net weight is 12.4 kg per unit. Check structural support and the built-in enclosure clearance, not only the visible opening. PMK 7.3W is the specified kit.
The integral rear reservoir is 460 mm high and 220 mm wide, but those dimensions do not replace the full assembly's 102 mm mounting depth. At 12.4 kg per unit, support in a lightweight wall deserves attention. The speakers can serve stereo or integrated cinema channels, with positions chosen around the listening axis and stud layout. Flowport is part of this three-way acoustic arrangement. Although it shares 90 dB sensitivity with the ceiling-mounted CCM7.3 S2, the wall cut-out here is long and narrow. Its grille projects by 7 mm, so align the visible edge with the wall panels. Allow room for wiring and any pre-mount kit before settling finishes and cabinetry. The 3.1-ohm minimum also calls for an amplifier able to handle that load across the planned channels.
