MK Sound IW300 is an architectural loudspeaker with twin 6.5-inch glass-fibre woofers and three 1-inch soft fabric dome tweeters, 80 Hz-22 kHz response and 93 dB sensitivity. The loudspeaker is sold individually; two units are required for a stereo pair and additional units for more channels.
It is designed for reference concealed LCR fronts and cinema rooms. The architectural range uses driver and crossover technology from MK Sound monitors so visible and concealed speakers can be mixed without changing tonal character. The system uses twin 6.5-inch glass-fibre woofers with an array of three 1-inch soft fabric dome tweeters. Rated response is 80 Hz-22 kHz, with 93 dB sensitivity and recommended amplifier power of 25-500 W, using S300 Series driver and crossover technology.
Architectural integration
The IW range uses steel baffles and low-profile metal grilles to reinforce the wall, reduce vibration and leave only the required surface visible. Grilles can be painted to match the room finish.
Installation
The baffle measures 423 x 338 mm, wall cut-out is 401 x 316 mm and required depth is 120 mm; weight is 10 kg. The IW mounting system is designed for stable installation with the grille sitting close to the finished surface.
