The 150 Series reference monitor for cinema and recording
MK Sound S150 is the passive reference monitor of the 150 Series, with twin 5.25-inch woofers, a triple-tweeter array and Phase-Focused Crossover.
MK Sound S150 belongs to the 150 Series and is designed for LCR fronts, stereo and reference monitoring in cinema rooms and studios. The iconic triple-tweeter and twin-woofer layout has been updated with technologies derived from the S300 and low-compression components. Right/C and Left/C variants are mirror-imaged, allowing the correct geometry to be maintained at either side of the screen or in centre-channel use. Rated response is 75 Hz-20 kHz ±3 dB, with 92 dB sensitivity, 4-ohm nominal impedance and recommended amplifier power of 25-500 W. The compact cabinet concentrates substantial dynamics in a monitor also intended for long professional listening sessions.

Acoustic design
The high-precision triple-tweeter array works with twin 5.25-inch low-compression woofers. Soft domes, waveguides and baffle geometry are designed to maintain controlled dispersion and high intelligibility. Right/C and Left/C are mirror-image versions sold as individual units: a complementary left/right pair optimises stereo imaging, while a third S150 can serve as centre channel to keep the same behaviour across the front stage.
Role in the system
S150 can be used left, centre or right in a cinema room, or as a stereo monitor. Mirror-image Right/C and Left/C versions preserve the optimum geometry on either side of the screen. The 150 Series evolves a design used in film and recording studios: the vertical tweeter array, closely spaced twin woofers and low crossover point work together to minimise phase shift and preserve intelligibility and focus.
Crossover and timbre matching
The Phase-Focused Crossover reduces phase shift between the tweeter array and mid/bass section to preserve focus, transparency and consistency beyond the central listening position.
Installation and dimensions
Its compact format supports stand, console or dedicated mounting in control rooms and home cinemas. Cabinet geometry suits medium/nearfield listening and matched LCR systems.
Construction and finishes
Construction prioritises rigidity, driver control and reliability at high levels. The finish is Black Satin.
