A fuller patio speaker pair
The Polk Audio Atrium 5 pair serves two-channel music across a patio or modest courtyard. Each passive enclosure has a 5" Dynamic Balance polymer woofer and a 0.75" anodized aluminium dome tweeter.
The 5 sits between the smaller Atrium 4 with a 4.5" woofer and Atrium 6 with a 5.25" driver and 1" tweeter. It increases woofer and cabinet size without reaching the dimensions of the 6. Each speaker takes about 171 x 262 x 197 mm including bracket and knobs.

Placement and connections
The 180° Speed-Lock bracket helps direct sound toward the seating area. Gold-plated five-way posts require speaker cable back to an amplifier; no streaming or amplification is built in. Overall response is 60 Hz-25 kHz, with 10-100 W recommended per channel.
A mineral-filled polypropylene cabinet, coated aluminium grille and bracket, and corrosion-resistant hardware suit outdoor use. Provide firm mounting, correct cable polarity and two spaced positions for stereo separation. Both speakers are included in this pair.
For background music or more attentive listening in an open patio, place the two cabinets so the main seating area falls between them. A wall far from the listener makes aiming particularly important. The bracket lets you revise the angle after the first listening session without changing the speaker layout.
Outdoor-ready construction applies to the cabinet; the cable path and fixing points also need to suit the chosen location. Where a garden offers only one useful mounting spot, Atrium 8 SDI instead accepts left and right input channels within a single enclosure.
