Focal 300 IW LCR6: 3-way in-wall loudspeaker
Three-way in-wall loudspeaker from the 300 series, made for home cinema as a centre, left or right channel, and suited to a stereo system that has to disappear into the wall. It fits horizontally or vertically: the mid and high section turns through 90 degrees and always faces the right way.
Drivers
Two 16.5 cm woofers and a 10 cm midrange with Flax linen cones, plus a 2.5 cm inverted-dome tweeter in aluminium and magnesium. Tweeter and midrange levels are set from the front panel to match the room. Frequency response from 40 Hz to 28 kHz, sensitivity 92 dB, nominal impedance 8 ohms (2.9 ohms minimum), recommended amplifier from 50 to 150 W.
Installation
The EQI system locks the speaker into the wall without tools or screws. Size 600 x 220 x 98 mm, cut-out 568 x 191 mm, in-wall depth 93 mm, for walls from 12 to 32 mm thick; weight 5.65 kg. Paintable rectangular magnetic grille, cut-out template and adhesive felt pads included. For plasterboard at the building stage there is a dedicated mounting kit, ordered separately.
Use and matching
As a horizontal centre it keeps dialogue clear and natural; vertically it works as a left or right channel, with the same voicing across the whole front. It pairs with the 300 IW6 for the sides and the 300 ICW6 in the ceiling for the height channels.
