The Planet of Music: the album by Franco Mussida, guitarist and founder of PFM.
The planet of music: the album
With Premiata Forneria Marconi, Franco Mussida belonged to the first Italian rock band to succeed abroad; he left the group in 2015 and is founder and president of the CPM music school. The album follows Iòtu, a curious traveller who meets characters each linked to a musical instrument.
A narrating voice and guitar form the spine of the work, with keyboards, bass and percussion. In the Dolby Atmos mix the acoustic sources were captured in their natural setting. The 2023 edition includes two video clips in Dolby Atmos, a ten-minute making-of and a 24-page booklet carrying the lyrics in Italian and English.
