Motorised ceiling TV mechanism with hinge, telescopic drop and swivel
CHRST is the Future Automation range of ceiling mechanisms that fold a TV down, lower it with a telescopic movement and turn it to the right or to the left. It is aimed at installations where the screen, once closed, has to vanish entirely into the ceiling void.
The mechanism brings the screen out of the ceiling on a hinge of up to 90°, lowers it by a travel of between 500 mm and 750 mm, according to the size of the mechanism, and turns it by as much as 180° in either direction. The MDF Plaster In Edge lets the unit be plastered into the ceiling with no flange on show: with the lid shut, only a thin shadow gap remains along the perimeter.
Key features
- Motorised movement: 90° hinge, a telescopic drop of 500 to 750 mm according to size, and up to 180° of swivel per side
- Controlled via IR, RS232 or contact closure
- Control box fitted inside the unit and reached through an internal access hatch
- Takes up 210 mm of height inside the ceiling, 220 mm for CHRST7 and 270 mm for CHRST8
- White painted finish in RAL9910, with custom finishes available
- Self-adjusting limit switches for the closed position, which shorten set-up
- Both a mechanical and an electrical recovery system included
Available sizes
The largest screen (height x width x depth) and the heaviest load accepted are: CHRST4 680 x 1130 x 100 mm and 35 kg; CHRST5 800 x 1330 x 100 mm and 25 kg; CHRST6 920 x 1530 x 100 mm and 65 kg; CHRST7 970 x 1730 x 100 mm and 50 kg; CHRST8 1090 x 1980 x 150 mm and 100 kg.
Installation
The CHRST arrives as one assembled unit that is ready to fit, which lowers the risk of mistakes on site and makes the job faster. Future Automation describes its operation as close to silent. Should the third-party control system run into trouble or the power go down, the mechanism can still be reached safely through the mechanical or the electrical recovery system. The range is for indoor use.
