Motorised mechanism that hides a screen behind a picture
The PIC makes it possible to hide a wall-mounted screen behind a piece of artwork, so the room keeps its appearance whenever the display is switched off. At the press of a button the picture travels up or down and uncovers the screen.
The mechanism is a self-contained metal cassette, built to be integrated into a recess in the wall, where it takes up 70 mm of depth. It can be combined with either a fixed or a motorised display mount, depending on the installation. The picture can be set to travel upwards or downwards, according to the layout of the wall. The product is intended for indoor use.
Key features
- Maximum panel travel: 560 mm (PIC1), 710 mm (PIC2) or 860 mm (PIC3)
- Maximum panel weight: 10 kg
- Depth inside the wall: 70 mm
- Smooth and quiet motorised movement, declared noise level 46 dB
- Works with both fixed and motorised display mounts
- Black RAL 9005 painted finish; custom finishes can be requested
Available sizes
There are three standard travels, matching models PIC1, PIC2 and PIC3; made-to-measure travels are provided for projects that need a specific movement distance. For panels heavier than 10 kg, Future Automation offers a heavy-duty version of the mechanism.
Control and integration
The mechanism accepts IR, RS232 and contact closure commands; RF control can be added as an option.
Installation
Behind the picture the installer can fit a fixed bracket, which keeps the installation very slim, or a motorised mount, which brings the screen forward and turns it for a better viewing angle. A motorised mount has to be specified at the time of ordering, so that compatibility with the PIC is guaranteed.
