2-way floorstanding loudspeaker with a 200 mm IsoFlare driver
Vintage Classic VIII is the floorstanding counterpart of the VIII SM model: a bigger cabinet, tall and narrow, intended to give a fuller sound. It belongs to the retro-styled Vintage Classic range. Sold as a pair.
The rectangular cabinet has walnut-veneered panels, gold anodised trim and analogue adjustment knobs fitted to their own panel, which shows the frequency response graphs. The structure is high-density fibreboard, braced internally; the grille is woven cloth. The 200 mm IsoFlare point source unit pairs a multi-fibre cone on a FyneFlute surround with a compression tweeter using a 25 mm magnesium dome, driven by a ferrite magnet. The reflex port fires downwards, with a twin cavity and a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser of reduced size, suited to a relatively compact cabinet.

Technical data
The crossover operates at 1.8 kHz, with a second-order low-pass and a first-order high-pass. The adjustments act between 1.8 and 34 kHz (high frequencies) and between 2.5 and 5 kHz (presence). The cabinet measures 873 x 380 x 300 mm (height x width x depth) and weighs 29.1 kg: size and weight apply to one loudspeaker. For anyone adding a super tweeter, the data sheet gives its distance from the cabinet's front edge: 74 mm for S-Trax, 50 mm for SuperTrax.
