2-way standmount loudspeaker with a 200 mm IsoFlare driver
Vintage Classic VIII SM is the standmount model of the Vintage Classic range: a compact loudspeaker that is simple to place in a room and recalls the look of traditional bookshelf designs. Sold as a pair.
The rectangular cabinet is finished by hand in walnut veneer, with a black baffle, gold trim and styling references to the 1970s. It is made of high-density fibreboard and braced internally. The 200 mm IsoFlare point source unit combines a multi-fibre cone for bass and midrange, held by a FyneFlute surround, with a compression tweeter using a 25 mm magnesium dome; the magnet is a ferrite type. The reflex port fires downwards onto the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser, in a version developed to work with the loudspeaker raised above the floor on stands.
