Gallo Acoustics Droplet Micro: spherical mini pendant loudspeaker
Droplet Micro is the pendant version of the classic Gallo Acoustics Micro: the sphere neither rests on a surface nor fixes to a bracket, but hangs down from the ceiling on its cable. The manufacturer presents it as a style variant of its small high-end loudspeaker. The enclosure is an entirely metal 4-inch sphere, in mild steel, with a custom-developed 3-inch drive unit and a redesigned terminal section.
The supplied kit includes 2 m of loudspeaker cable and the ceiling rose set, which contains both the black rose and the white one. The drive unit, with a cone in Mical polypropylene compound, works full range and with no crossover; the stated frequency response runs from 120 Hz to 18 kHz and nominal impedance is 8 Ohm.
