Immediate vinyl playback with automatic start and return
Denon DP-29F is a fully automatic belt-drive turntable with die-cast aluminium platter, fitted MM cartridge and integrated phono preamplifier.
Design and intended use
One control starts the record, moves the tonearm to the groove and returns it to its rest at the end. Automation reduces manual operations and protects the stylus from uncertain handling, making it suitable for a first system or shared family use. Its phono stage connects to an ordinary AUX input without separate electronics.
Main features
- Belt drive at 33 1/3 and 45rpm
- Fully automatic operation
- Die-cast aluminium platter
- Pre-mounted MM cartridge
- Built-in phono preamplifier
Selection and setup
This is a straightforward design with settings already established; it is not intended for rapid cartridge, arm-mass or geometry changes. Its priority is playing a record with minimal intervention. Compared with DP-300F it is lighter and less adjustable; the 300F adds a more substantial base, balance, anti-skating and a switchable phono stage for greater system development.
Placement should be stable, level and away from loudspeakers to limit acoustic feedback. Speed, record cleanliness and stylus condition should be checked before listening; adjustable models also require tracking force and anti-skating setup. Correct connection depends on the presence of a phono stage and must not be confused with an ordinary line input.
