The ultimate plug-and-play turntable
Rega Planar 1 Plus takes the Planar 1 concept and adds an integrated MM phono stage, allowing it to connect directly to a standard line-level input.
The design combines the hand-assembled RB110 tonearm, factory-fitted Carbon cartridge, low-noise 24 V synchronous motor and Advanced EBLT drive belt with an integrated MM phono preamplifier. The aim is to minimise set-up operations without giving up the mechanical elements that define the Planar 1. The cartridge signal is therefore brought up to line level inside the turntable, making Planar 1 Plus suitable for systems without a dedicated phono input.

Integrated MM phono stage
The internal phono preamplifier takes the output of an MM cartridge and lifts it to a level that suits the line inputs of amplifiers and audio systems. This integration removes the need for an external phono stage and allows the turntable to connect directly using the supplied RCA cable. The section draws on Rega's experience with MM phono stages and is integrated without changing the product's simple approach.
Tonearm, cartridge and drive
The RB110 tonearm uses Rega ultra-low-friction bearings and a preset bias that simplifies system start-up. The Carbon MM cartridge is already factory-fitted. The 24 V synchronous motor works with an aluminium pulley and the Advanced EBLT drive belt, a solution adopted to improve speed accuracy and consistency. The 23 mm phenolic resin platter uses the flywheel effect to increase stability during playback.
Plinth and vibration control
The plinth is built to combine rigidity with low weight, with the power switch positioned on the underside. The brass main bearing is designed to reduce stress on the support and limit energy transfer, while the feet contribute to isolation from vibrations coming through the furniture. The overall design retains the essential character of the Planar range, with quick installation and very few elements to adjust.

Planar 1 Plus includes a factory-fitted Rega Carbon cartridge, stereo RCA cable and dust cover; the walnut-effect finish is supplied with a smoked dust cover.
