For the first time John Williams stands before the Berliner Philharmoniker, a few months before turning ninety.
The Berlin Concert: the album
The Berlin Concert gathers his film music: Superman, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, E.T. and of course Star Wars, down to the Imperial March. Also on the programme, with Bruno Delepelaire as soloist, is the Elegy for Cello and Orchestra.
The 2022 edition, released by Deutsche Grammophon, holds the concert on Blu-ray with the Dolby Atmos mix, both as video and as audio only.
