Square in-wall or in-ceiling speaker from the Soundlight series
The KEF Ci100QS is a square two-way flush-mount speaker from the Soundlight series, designed to fit into walls and ceilings as discreetly as possible, combining very small dimensions with KEF-level audio performance. Sold singly, it is fitted with a 100 mm (4") woofer with a 19 mm (0.75") tweeter in a Uni-Q® configuration, for a frequency response from 80 Hz to 27 kHz. Like all the speakers in the Soundlight series, the Ci100QS is designed to blend in visually with recessed halogen spotlights, becoming almost invisible once installed. The optional RIF100S pre-installation frame and the optional RNC100S rear enclosure complete the installation options.
Uni-Q®: exceptional dispersion in a very compact format
The 100 mm Uni-Q® driver places the 19 mm tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the woofer, so that the two act as a single point source. Despite the minimal dimensions of the Soundlight series, Uni-Q® technology provides the wide, even sound dispersion typical of KEF speakers, with performance that goes well beyond what the size of the product might suggest.
Micro format, high sensitivity
With a sensitivity of 88 dB — among the highest in the Soundlight series — a response that starts at 80 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 50 W into 4 Ω, the Ci100QS offers solid performance for compact rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, corridors and secondary zones of multiroom systems. With a mounting depth of only 72 mm and external dimensions of just 127 × 127 mm, it fits easily even where the available space is very limited.
Flexible in-wall or in-ceiling installation
With external dimensions of 127 × 127 mm and a depth of 76 mm, the Ci100QS requires a cut-out of 112 × 112 mm and fits walls and ceilings with a thickness from 6 to 24 mm. The optional RIF100S pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during construction, while the optional RNC100S rear enclosure improves the bass response and the acoustic isolation from the cavity.
The square Soundlight speaker for every zone of the system
The Ci100QS is designed for all rooms where compact dimensions and a discreet appearance are a priority: living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and offices. It integrates perfectly with the other speakers in the KEF Soundlight series — including its round twin, the Ci100.2QR — providing the same Uni-Q® sound signature at every point of the installation and the same visual consistency with the surrounding recessed spotlights.
