Round in-ceiling speaker with 130 mm Uni-Q® driver
The KEF Ci130.2CR is a round two-way in-ceiling speaker from the Ci-C series, designed to offer an ideal introduction to the world of custom installation speakers, with KEF's distinctive technologies in a compact 130 mm (5.25") format. Sold individually, it features a 130 mm (5.25") woofer with a 16 mm (0.6") aluminium dome tweeter with tangerine waveguide in a Uni-Q® configuration, for a frequency response from 52 Hz to 20 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) and the paintable magnetic grille ensure discreet visual integration, while the IP64 rating makes it suitable for environments exposed to humidity and UV rays as well. The optional RIF130R pre-installation frame and the optional RNC130R rear enclosure complete the installation options. The square-format twin of this model is the Ci130.2CS.
Uni-Q®: wide, even dispersion in a 5-inch format
The 130 mm Uni-Q® driver places the 16 mm aluminium dome tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the woofer, so that the two act as a single point source. Despite the more compact format compared with the 160 mm models in the series, KEF's "sit anywhere" technology delivers the same wide, even sound dispersion throughout the room, allowing the listener to hear the sound with full fidelity regardless of their position relative to the speaker — an essential quality in ceiling installations, where the listening position is not always predictable.
Compact format ideal for smaller rooms
With a sensitivity of 87 dB, a response that reaches down to 52 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 80 W into 8 Ω, the Ci130.2CR is the ideal choice for bathrooms, corridors, kitchens and secondary zones of multiroom systems. With a mounting depth of just 77.7 mm and an external diameter of 193.4 mm, it fits easily even where the available space is limited, and can be installed in ceilings where other speakers in the same class would not find room.
Flexible in-ceiling installation with dedicated accessories
With an external diameter of 193.4 mm and a depth of 82.3 mm, the Ci130.2CR requires a cut-out of 158 mm in diameter and suits ceilings with a thickness from 6 to 33 mm. The optional RIF130R pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during the construction phase, while the optional RNC130R rear enclosure improves low-frequency response and acoustic isolation from the cavity.

The Ci130.2CR is designed for all the rooms where a 130 mm driver is the most suitable choice in terms of size and required power: bathrooms, corridors, kitchens, offices and any secondary zone of a distributed system. The Weather Resistant treatment with IP64 rating protects the components from humidity and UV rays, extending the installation options to uncontrolled environments. It integrates perfectly into the KEF Ci-C range alongside its square twin, the Ci130.2CS, ensuring the same Uni-Q® sound signature and the same attention to appearance at every point of the installation.
