Round in-ceiling speaker with Uni-Q® driver
The KEF Ci200QR is a round two-way flush-mount speaker designed to blend into ceilings with the utmost discretion, filling the room with wide, even sound thanks to the KEF Uni-Q® driver. Sold individually, it combines a 200 mm (8") woofer with a 25 mm aluminium tweeter with Tangerine Waveguide in a Uni-Q® configuration for a frequency response from 35 Hz to 34 kHz. The Ultra-Thin Bezel (UTB) frame and the gold-plated spring terminals complete a construction refined in every detail. For those who need the square format, the Ci200QS model offers the same drivers in a square-edged version.
Uni-Q® with Tangerine Waveguide: maximum sound coverage with fewer speakers
The KEF Uni-Q® driver places the 25 mm tweeter exactly at the acoustic centre of the 200 mm woofer, so that both act as a single point source. The Tangerine Waveguide optimises high-frequency dispersion for crystal-clear, even sound throughout the room. The result is wide sound coverage that allows fewer speakers to be installed than with conventional solutions, reducing both the cost and the complexity of the system.
Full-range response and installation in under two minutes
With a sensitivity of 90 dB, a response reaching down to 35 Hz and compatibility with amplifiers from 10 to 150 W into 8 Ω, the Ci200QR delivers rich, balanced sound suited both to background music and to more involved listening. The KEF fixing system is designed to make installation extremely quick: once the cable has been run and the hole cut, the speaker is up and running in under two minutes.
Flexible, discreet in-ceiling installation
With an external diameter of 289.6 mm and a mounting depth of 103.3 mm, the Ci200QR fits ceilings with a thickness from 6 to 37 mm. The required cut-out has a diameter of 240 mm. The optional RIF200R pre-installation frame simplifies fitting during construction or renovation.
