The KEF Ci3120QLM-THX is a THX® Certified Select in-wall loudspeaker, designed to meet the growing demand for high-performance Home Cinema solutions in multi-purpose rooms, where a dedicated space is not always available. Sold singly, it incorporates the 12th-generation Uni-Q® driver with MAT™ (Metamaterial Absorption Technology) to deliver powerful, detailed and faithful cinematic sound, ideal for medium-sized rooms. THX® Select certification guarantees reference performance in 2.1, 5.1 and 7.1 surround configurations.

Uni-Q® Gen 12 with MAT™: crystal-clear dialogue and an even soundstage

The 12th-generation Uni-Q® driver places the 19 mm vented aluminium tweeter with MAT™ exactly at the acoustic centre of the 100 mm midrange, creating a single point source for wide and even sound dispersion of up to 150°. In multi-purpose rooms — where listening positions vary and it is not always possible to optimise the layout — this technology ensures consistent sound quality for all viewers, wherever they are.

MAT™ technology absorbs up to 99% of the unwanted sound waves generated at the rear of the tweeter, eliminating distortions and resonances for transparency and dialogue intelligibility of the very highest level even in a flush-mount loudspeaker.

High sound pressure level and deep bass in a compact format

The two 120 mm woofers designed for THX applications offer high excursion and low distortion, ensuring deep and energetic bass down to 42 Hz even at sustained volumes. The maximum SPL of 105 dB, the sensitivity of 89 dB and the compatibility with amplifiers from 25 to 250 W into 4 Ω ensure the dynamics needed for an authentic cinematic impact even in the most intense scenes.

Discreet and flexible installation in standard walls

With a mounting depth of 90 mm and external dimensions of 536 × 186 mm, the Ci3120QLM-THX suits walls with a thickness from 6 to 36 mm and requires an ideal rear volume of 40 L (minimum 20 L). IP64 certification also makes it suitable for installations in rooms where humidity is present. The paintable magnetic grille and the Ultra-Thin Bezel frame ensure a practically invisible aesthetic integration in any setting.

Part of a coherent THX surround system

The Ci3120QLM-THX is designed to work in perfect synergy with the other loudspeakers of the KEF Ci-Q THX series, sharing the same Uni-Q® technology with MAT™ for absolute tonal coherence across all channels. It can be paired with the Ci5120QLM-THX as the front LCR channel or used as a surround channel in more elaborate configurations, always ensuring the same KEF sonic signature at every point in the room.
